Recent polling indicates that former President Trump is leading President Biden in seven critical swing states.
According to the survey, Trump is ahead in Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.
The closest contests are reported in Michigan and Pennsylvania, where Trump holds slight leads over Biden. In Michigan, Trump garnered 42 percent compared to Biden’s 40 percent, while in Pennsylvania, Trump had 43 percent support against Biden’s 40 percent. The polling also revealed significant undecided voters in several states.
Trump’s strongest leads were in Arizona, where he received 44 percent support to Biden’s 37 percent, and in Nevada, where he led with 46 percent compared to Biden’s 42 percent.
The survey, conducted after the first presidential debate and before recent events involving Trump, also highlighted concerns among Democrats about Biden’s electoral prospects and his performance in the debates.
Despite Biden trailing in these swing states, Democratic Senate candidates were reportedly leading in races across all of them, including Arizona, Nevada, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin, according to the same polling data.
The survey, conducted by YouGov, polled approximately 1,000 to 900 people per state from July 4-12, with a margin of error ranging from 3 to 5 percentage points.
