Protesters in Abuja on Thursday declared that they would continue their demonstrations until President Bola Tinubu meets their demands.
They called on Tinubu to take the necessary actions, promising to end the protests immediately if he complied.
Damilare Adenola, Director of Mobilisation for the Take It Back Movement, expressed to journalists in Abuja that the oppression under Tinubu’s leadership had gone on for too long.
Adenola stated, “The various court orders limiting protesters to specific areas are unacceptable.
“Our presence here today signifies that we have endured oppression for too long.
“Today, we have risen. We are telling the president that unless Bola Tinubu meets our demands, we will remain in the streets. We want to see the president on the street. During the campaign, he was on the street.”
Ayoola Babalola, another leader of the Take It Back Movement, criticized the heavy security presence around the Moshood Abiola premises as a national embarrassment.
Babalola insisted that the protesters would not be intimidated.
