In Bangladesh, enraged protesters stormed the Parliament building following weeks of demonstrations against a government job quota system.
This action came after Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, 76, resigned and escaped to India. She had been the world’s longest-serving female leader.
The protests, which began last month, are driven by issues related to job quotas, economic difficulties, and corruption.
The unrest has resulted in at least 94 deaths, including 14 police officers.
