On Monday, activist Martins Otse, also known as verydarkman VDM, led a protest outside the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) office, demanding the resignation of Director PMS Fredman Bitrus.
The protest was triggered by Bitrus’s alleged failure to address a complaint about controversial “miracle” soap and water sold by Prophet Jeremiah Fufeyin, which lacked NAFDAC registration numbers—a requirement for public sale.
On August 9th, Otse filed a petition with NAFDAC requesting an investigation into these products, which he fears may be harmful if unregistered.
In response, Prophet Jeremiah Omoto Fufeyin has filed a N1 billion lawsuit against Otse.
