Four people were killed and at least 21 others injured in a mass shooting on Saturday night in Birmingham, Alabama.
The shooting occurred near the University of Alabama at Birmingham, on Magnolia Avenue in the Five Points South area.
According to Birmingham Police, two men and a woman died at the scene, while a fourth victim passed away at the hospital.
The incident took place shortly after 11 p.m., as reported by Officer Truman Fitzgerald.
Birmingham Fire and Rescue transported eight victims to the hospital, with four suffering life-threatening injuries. Several others arrived at hospitals on their own.
Authorities believe multiple shooters were involved, though no arrests have been made. Fitzgerald assured the public that efforts are underway to identify and apprehend those responsible.
