Brett Favre’s announcement of his Parkinson’s Disease diagnosis has not garnered sympathy from Jennifer Sterger.
The model and TV personality accused the former Pro Football Hall of Fame quarterback of sending her inappropriate text messages and images while she served as a “Game Day Host” for the New York Jets in 2008. Following Favre’s public disclosure of his condition during a congressional hearing, Sterger took to Instagram to respond.
In her post, she wrote, “PSA: Please don’t send me links to it. I’ve seen it. I can read. I don’t wish bad things on anyone, but Karma never forgets an address. Imagine being diagnosed with such a terrible disease and lacking the resources to fight it because some Hall-of-Fame quarterback stole it?”
Favre is also involved in a Mississippi welfare scandal, where funds intended for struggling families were reportedly misappropriated for various personal projects.
During his testimony to the House Ways and Means Committee, he mentioned his recent Parkinson’s diagnosis, stating, “Sadly, I also lost an investment in a company that I believed was developing a breakthrough concussion drug that I thought would help others. I’m sure you’ll understand, while it’s too late for me because I’ve recently been diagnosed with Parkinson’s, this is also a cause dear to my heart.”
Sterger, now 40, alleged that Favre harassed her during his single season with the Jets. The NFL launched an investigation into her claims, and although Favre admitted to sending her voicemails, the league concluded that he did not breach its workplace conduct policy. He was fined $50,000 for failing to cooperate with the investigation.
