The Akwa Ibom State Government has sadly announced the passing of Pastor Mrs. Patience Umo Eno, the wife of Governor Pastor Umo Eno.
State Commissioner for Information, Ini Ememobong, shared the news early Friday morning, revealing that the First Lady died after an undisclosed illness.
In a statement titled “Unexpected Sunset,” Ememobong expressed the government’s sorrow, stating, “It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Her Excellency, Pastor Mrs. Patience Umo Eno, following an illness.”
She peacefully passed away in the hospital on September 26, 2024, surrounded by her family. The family has accepted this loss and is requesting prayers and support from the community during this challenging time. They also ask for privacy as they grieve their cherished wife, mother, and grandmother.
Governor Pastor Umo Eno has expressed gratitude to all who have supported the family during this time and reassured citizens that, despite this profound personal loss, his dedication to serving the state remains steadfast.
