Benjamin Hundeyin, the Public Relations Officer for the Lagos State Police Command, announced an important update on his X (formerly Twitter) account today.
He posted a photo of the officers involved in an incident where they confronted National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members in Surulere, Lagos State.
These officers are alleged to have extorted N1 million from the corps members.
In his update, Hundeyin stated that the officers have been summoned and that disciplinary proceedings have begun, with their trial already underway.
The incident has caused significant public outrage, prompting prompt action from the Lagos State Police Command.
