President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed seven new executive directors to the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) as part of his initiative to revitalize the nation’s broadcasting sector.
The announcement was made on Friday, September 27, by Bayo Onanuga, the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy.
Among those appointed, Ayo Adewuyi returns as Executive Director of News, while Bar. Ibrahim Aliyu will take charge of Special Duties as Executive Director. Other appointees include Malam Muhammed Fatuhu Mustapha, who will serve as Executive Director of Administration and Training, and Mrs. Apinke Effiong, who has been appointed Executive Director of Finance.
Furthermore, Mrs. Tari Taylaur will be the Executive Director of Programs; Mr. Sadique Musa Omeiza will serve as Executive Director of Engineering; and Mrs. Oluwakemi Fashina will take on the role of Executive Director of Marketing.
Mrs. Effiong brings extensive experience in financial marketing and accounting to her position. Mrs. Taylaur is noted for her accomplishments as an audio/visual creator and producer, while Mrs. Fashina is an experienced integrated marketing communications professional and a chartered marketer.
These new appointments are expected to bring innovative ideas and expertise to the NTA, promoting growth and advancement in Nigeria’s broadcasting industry. The statement confirmed that these changes are effective immediately.
