Hundreds of pro-Palestinian demonstrators marched in Minneapolis on Sunday, joining global protests ahead of the one-year anniversary of the Israel-Hamas conflict.
The protests coincided with intensified Israeli airstrikes in northern Gaza and southern Lebanon.
Marchers in Minneapolis carried Palestinian flags through the streets, with the event organized by American Muslims for Palestine-Minnesota.
Similar demonstrations and memorial events took place worldwide, including in Berlin and London.
Monday marks a year since Hamas militants killed 1,200 people in Israel and took 250 hostages in a surprise attack.
In response, Israel launched a large-scale offensive in Gaza, resulting in more than 41,000 Palestinian deaths, according to Gaza’s Health Ministry.
