Ben Affleck is praising Jennifer Lopez for her “spectacular” performance in her new film, “Unstoppable,” even after their divorce.
In a Zoom interview with “Entertainment Tonight” host Nischelle Turner, Affleck discussed the sports drama, where Lopez portrays Judy Robles. The movie tells the true story of Judy’s steadfast support for her son, Anthony, who, despite being born with one leg, succeeds in joining the Arizona State University wrestling team.
When asked how “Unstoppable” compares to his own film, “Small Things Like These,” which was co-produced by Matt Damon and stars Cillian Murphy, Affleck noted that while the two films are quite different, they both reflect the passion and talent of their creators.
He praised Lopez’s performance in three simple words: “Jennifer is spectacular.”
Affleck and Lopez were married in 2022 without a prenup, but Lopez filed for divorce in 2024, citing irreconcilable differences.
Despite their separation, it seems they are in a good place professionally.
