After President-elect Trump publicly announced that former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley would not be part of his new administration, Haley responded with well wishes for his success.
She expressed pride in working with Trump previously at the United Nations, sharing in an X post that she hopes for “great success” for him and others in advancing a “stronger, safer America.”
Trump posted on Truth Social that he would not be inviting Haley or former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo to join his cabinet, despite appreciating their past service.
This announcement followed speculation about his cabinet picks. Haley, who had positioned herself as an alternative to Trump in her own campaign, wrote a supportive op-ed shortly before Election Day, acknowledging differences with Trump but affirming him as a preferable choice.
