Trump posted on Truth Social that he would not be inviting Haley or former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo to join his cabinet, despite appreciating their past service.
This announcement followed speculation about his cabinet picks. Haley, who had positioned herself as an alternative to Trump in her own campaign, wrote a supportive op-ed shortly before Election Day, acknowledging differences with Trump but affirming him as a preferable choice.
