Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has introduced a public forum allowing people to nominate candidates for key roles in the upcoming Trump administration. As part of his involvement in President-elect Donald Trump’s White House transition team, Kennedy, a long-time environmental lawyer and health activist, launched a website for the public to submit names for over 4,000 positions in the new government.
The website states that Trump appointed Kennedy to assist in “draining the swamp” of Washington, a goal Trump was unable to achieve in his first term. It emphasizes Kennedy’s need for public help to find nominees aligned with the vision of “Making America Healthy Again” and “Making America Great Again.”
Kennedy, who previously ran for president as a Democrat and an independent in 2024 before suspending his campaign to endorse Trump, has built a strong partnership with the incoming president. They plan to address chronic diseases and tackle what Kennedy describes as the corporate influence over government agencies.
The “Nominees for the People” forum represents Kennedy’s latest effort to influence Trump’s key appointments. As of Tuesday morning, several individuals were leading in nominations.
Brandon Herrera, with almost 3,000 votes, is a top contender for the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF). Herrera, a “Second Amendment Absolutist,” emphasized the need for a director who understands the firearms industry.
Dr. Charles Fagenholz, a neurology expert and advocate for holistic health, garnered nearly 1,500 votes for the role of Secretary of Health and Human Services. Robert Sepehr, an anthropologist, received over 600 votes for the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation and the Department of Education, while Dr. Michael Salla, a foreign policy expert and author known for his research on extraterrestrial life, has over 500 votes for various defense-related positions.
This forum is part of Kennedy’s ongoing effort to support Trump’s administration in fulfilling its policy objectives for the next term.
