A flu-like illness that has claimed dozens of lives in southwestern Congo is under investigation. Between Nov. 10 and Nov. 25, 67 to 143 people in Kwango province’s Panzi health zone died from symptoms including fever, headache, cough, and anaemia.
Local authorities are awaiting an epidemiological team to take samples and identify the cause.
