A Los Angeles judge has approved the final accounting report from Matthew Perry’s estate executor, bringing his beneficiaries closer to receiving their inheritance, according to reports.
Court records show that on December 27, a hearing was held in Los Angeles Superior Court, during which the judge determined there was “sufficient evidence” to approve the requests outlined in the final report filed by Perry’s longtime business manager, Lisa Ferguson. Ferguson, along with Robin Ruzan, former wife of actor Mike Myers, were named executors of Perry’s will.
At the hearing, the court also authorized a payment of $28,000 to Ferguson for her legal fees and approved the distribution of the estate according to Perry’s will.
Perry, known for his role in Friends, created a will in 2009 and established The Alvy Singer Living Trust, where he placed the majority of his assets. His personal property, not included in the trust, was valued at $1 million, with other property, such as his California mansion, likely placed in the trust.
Ferguson had filed the final report in October, confirming that all debts had been settled and that all tasks related to the probate case were complete.
The value of Perry’s assets outside of the trust had grown to $1,596,914.47 during Ferguson’s time as executor.
Ferguson reported that the estate was solvent, with all third-party claims resolved without court involvement. She also confirmed that all taxes owed by the estate, including personal, income, and estate taxes, had been paid.
