The 2025 Golden Globe Awards, set to take place on Sunday, Jan. 5, will kick off Hollywood’s awards season and may do more than showcase speeches and fashion.
The event often signals potential frontrunners for the Academy Awards in March, and this year could make history, including the first openly transgender woman nominated for Best Lead Actress.
The event will begin at 5 p.m. PT/8 p.m. ET on Sunday, Jan. 5, at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California. The ceremony will be broadcast live on CBS and streamed on Paramount+—with access limited to subscribers of the Paramount+ Showtime plan for live viewing. Others can stream the event on Paramount+ starting Monday.
To catch all the fashion moments, viewers can watch the red carpet coverage on Variety and Entertainment Tonight’s websites starting at 3:30 p.m. PT/6:30 p.m. ET. The Golden Globes website will also stream the red carpet.
The 2025 Golden Globes will be hosted by comedian Nikki Glaser, who earned praise for her performance at the 2024 Tom Brady Roast. She is expected to have an easier time than last year’s host, Jo Koy, whose opening jokes were met with criticism for being awkward and controversial.
