Burna Boy, Rema, Asake, Yemi Alade, and other Nigerian artists have earned nominations for the 2025 Trace Awards.
The event will take place in Zanzibar on February 26, 2025, as part of a two-day celebration that also includes a music summit. The awards aim to honor excellence in African music, spotlighting artists who continue to break global barriers.
Nigerian stars dominate the Song of the Year category, with nominations for Asake, Rema, Shallipopi, Burna Boy, and Tems.
In the Album of the Year category, Asake’s Lungu Boy, Rema’s HEIS, and Burna Boy’s I Told Them will compete against works by other African artists, including Ghanaian musicians Amarae, King Promise, and Stonebwoy.
