On Thursday, a federal appeals court cleared the way for special counsel Jack Smith to publish a final report on the two federal criminal cases involving President-elect Trump, which were dismissed.
Trump, along with two former co-defendants, had opposed the release of the report, which covers his alleged efforts to overturn the 2020 election and his handling of classified documents. The ruling leaves room for the possibility of additional appeals.
