President-elect Donald Trump has pledged to declassify all documents related to the assassinations of John F. Kennedy, Robert F. Kennedy, and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Speaking at Capitol One Arena in Washington, D.C., on Sunday evening, Trump announced his plan to “reverse the over-classification of government documents” by releasing long-held information from national security agencies. He emphasized that the declassification would not only cover the Kennedy and King assassinations but also other matters of significant public interest.
Trump stated, “As a first step toward restoring transparency and accountability to government, we will reverse the over-classification of government documents. In the coming days, we will release the remaining records on the assassinations of President John F. Kennedy, his brother Robert Kennedy, and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., along with other topics of great public concern. It’s all going to be released, Uncle Sam.”
Additionally, Robert Kennedy’s son, RFK Jr., is set to join the Trump administration as the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
