Former President Donald Trump announced the dismissal of four prominent appointees early Tuesday, including his former Iran envoy Brian Hook, retired Gen. Mark Milley, celebrity chef and humanitarian José Andrés, and former Atlanta mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms. Trump revealed the firings on Truth Social, stating his administration was working to remove over a thousand holdovers from the previous administration to align with his “Make America Great Again” vision.
Trump specifically dismissed Milley, who had previously criticized him and received a preemptive pardon from President Biden, Hook, known for his role in imposing Iran sanctions, Andrés, a vocal Trump critic, and Lance Bottoms, a Biden adviser. Trump concluded his post with a bold “YOU’RE FIRED!”
Additionally, Trump signed executive orders mandating federal employees return to the office full-time.
