Kenya has announced a new policy granting visa-free entry to all African citizens without prior authorization.
According to a cabinet directive, the Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) requirement will be removed for all African countries, except Somalia and Libya, due to security concerns.
Under the updated policy, most African nationals will be allowed to stay in Kenya visa-free for up to two months.
Meanwhile, citizens of East African Community member states, including Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, and Burundi, can stay for up to six months, aligning with the bloc’s regulations.
Although a specific timeline for implementation has not been provided, Kenya plans to introduce a streamlined process for instant travel approval, with a maximum processing time of 72 hours.
