The organizers of the popular reality show Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) have announced the return of physical auditions for its much-anticipated 2025 season. In a statement posted on Instagram on Saturday, the show’s management confirmed the transition from virtual to in-person auditions, signaling a major shift in the selection process. However, details regarding audition venues and the show’s premiere date remain undisclosed.
BBNaija first introduced virtual auditions in 2019 during its fourth season, expanding access for aspiring housemates and eliminating the need for physical locations. This format remained in place for subsequent seasons, but for its tenth edition, the show is reverting to its traditional in-person audition process, similar to its early years.
Since its inception in 2006, BBNaija has become Africa’s leading reality TV franchise, drawing millions of viewers across the continent.
While the show has undergone several transformations, this latest change signifies a return to its original format, reviving the energy and anticipation of live auditions.
