Toni Braxton and Birdman reportedly tied the knot in secret in August 2024, but just two weeks later, Braxton filed for divorce, citing an “irretrievably broken” marriage, according to reports. Just two days after the ceremony, she allegedly told Birdman they were done. However, in January 2025, she moved to dismiss the divorce petition — a request Birdman supported — leaving them still legally married.
The couple’s relationship has been a rollercoaster. Birdman proposed in 2018 with a $1 million ring, but they split the following year.
In December 2023, Braxton publicly denied engagement rumors, saying on Instagram, “We are both single.” Despite past declarations of love — from Birdman calling Braxton “my life” on The Wendy Williams Show to Braxton praising his romantic gestures on Braxton Family Values — their relationship has remained complicated.
