Meagan Good, 43, opened up about her life with husband Jonathan Majors, 35, star of Magazine Dreams at the NBCU Emmy Kick-Off Luncheon at the SLS Hotel in Beverly Hills on April 11, describing married life as “amazing,” Good acknowledged that things feel different now that they’ve officially tied the knot. “It’s powerful what it already is,” she said, noting the beauty in two people intentionally choosing and committing to the same path.
In March, Majors revealed on Sherri that he and Good had secretly wed, following their first public connection in May 2023. Good opened up that she always felt Majors was “her person,” describing their connection as “me and him against the world.” She called him her best friend and expressed deep joy in their relationship, emphasizing how marriage has strengthened their bond. “The commitment might already be there, but this is lifelong—no matter what, I’m riding with you until the wheels fall off,” she said.
Good also reflected on the challenges and growth that come with a committed relationship, especially one where both partners come from different backgrounds. She spoke about love as an intentional, enduring choice, saying, “The choice to love someone through every season, unconditionally, is the closest thing we have to understanding how God loves us.” However, she was clear about maintaining her standards: “I’m not putting up with something crazy,” she stated. “But outside of that, love teaches you what you deserve and how deeply God loves you.”
Good was previously married to pastor DeVon Franklin, with their divorce finalized in June 2022. Majors was convicted in December 2023 on misdemeanor assault and harassment charges and was sentenced in April 2024 to a year-long in-person intervention program.
