According toTMZ, Diddy’s legal team is actively searching for a Black female attorney to join his current defense lineup, which includes Marc Agnifilo and Teny Geragos. The move comes as Diddy’s lawyers continue to argue that race plays a central role in the government’s case against him, alleging he’s being targeted as a wealthy, successful Black man.
While both current lead attorneys are white, insiders stress the new hire wouldn’t be just for optics — she must have the skills to handle what’s expected to be an intense federal trial.
Notably, powerhouse attorney Mark Geragos is also said to be taking on a prominent role, and despite any additions, Marc and Teny will remain lead counsel.
This shakeup follows the February departure of Anthony Ricco, a Black attorney who previously represented Diddy. With jury selection set for May 5 and opening statements a week later, the search comes down to the wire — though Diddy’s team has requested a two-week delay.
