A female passenger on a Southwest Airlines flight from Philadelphia to Chicago caused a major disturbance when she reportedly stripped naked and defecated on her seat mid-flight. The unsettling event occurred aboard Flight 418 and prompted an immediate response from law enforcement and medical personnel, according to the airline. Due to the incident, the aircraft was removed from service for an extensive cleaning.
In a statement, Southwest Airlines confirmed the aircraft was taken out of rotation and offered apologies to affected passengers: “Our teams are reaching out to those on board to apologise for the situation and any delays to their travel plans,” according to reports.
The airline also emphasized its commitment to safety and praised the professionalism of its crew.
This disturbing event comes shortly after another alarming incident involving a Delta flight at Orlando International Airport, where a plane carrying 200 people caught fire, forcing a passenger to evacuate using the emergency slide.
