The announcement was made by the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, in a statement released on Tuesday. He praised Nigerian workers for their hard work and dedication, attributing much of the nation’s progress and global respect to their contributions. Highlighting the value of labour, Tunji-Ojo emphasized that commitment to work is key to national development. He urged workers to embrace innovation and strive for higher productivity to help improve governance and ensure all Nigerians benefit from the country’s resources.
Reaffirming the government’s dedication to safeguarding lives and property, the minister extended well wishes for the celebration and encouraged citizens to remain hopeful, assuring them of President Bola Tinubu’s commitment to his Renewed Hope Agenda.
