President Donald Trump visited Michigan on Tuesday, a key swing state he carried in the last election, to host a rally commemorating his 100th day in office.
Echoing his campaign-style events, Trump spoke to a lively crowd about the achievements of his second term, declaring, “After years of politicians boosting Beijing at Detroit’s expense, you finally have a workers’ advocate in the White House.” He added, “I’m putting Michigan first—and America first—instead of China.”
Before the rally, Trump stopped at a nearby Air National Guard base to unveil plans for a new fleet of warplanes to be stationed there.
