Former NBA star Lamar Odom, 45, and ex-husband of Khloé Kardashian, has been ordered to leave his Los Angeles rental after being sued for allegedly owing $45,000 in back rent, accoridng to reports.
On March 20, Executive Recovery Group, Inc., the sublessor of the Studio City mansion, filed a lawsuit stating that Odom entered into a month-to-month oral lease around December 15, 2024, agreeing to pay $15,000 monthly. The company claims Odom missed rent payments from January through March and was served a three-day notice to pay or vacate on March 11. The notice warned that failure to pay within three days would result in lease termination.
Executive Recovery Group, Inc. also stated they mailed a copy of the notice to Odom and declared the daily fair rental value of the property as $500. On March 17, they reportedly terminated the lease, leading to the lawsuit seeking overdue rent, lease forfeiture, legal fees, and damages. Since Odom didn’t respond to the suit, the court ruled in favor of Executive Recovery Group on April 28, granting them possession of the home and ordering Odom to vacate.
The property was previously leased by late rapper Mac Miller, who filmed his MTV show there. Odom’s life has been turbulent since his near-fatal 2015 overdose at a Nevada brothel, suffering multiple strokes and heart attacks. Though Khloé Kardashian paused their divorce during his hospitalization, they finalized it in December 2016. The two later reunited briefly on the reality show “The Kardashians.” Odom has since opened Odom Wellness Treatment Centers to support those battling addiction.
