50 Cent is determined to block any chance of a pardon for Sean “Diddy” Combs now that President Donald Trump has hinted at being open to it.
A longtime critic of Diddy—especially as the music mogul faces serious criminal charges including sex trafficking—50 Cent responded sharply after Trump’s recent comments.
Trump, when asked at a press event about his past friendship with Diddy, said no one had formally requested a pardon but believed some were considering it. He acknowledged their relationship had soured since he entered politics but claimed he might consider pardoning someone who had been unfairly treated.
In reaction, 50 Cent took to Instagram, warning that Diddy’s history of criticizing Trump could ruin his chances. “He said some really bad things about Trump. It’s not OK. I’m going to make sure Trump knows how I feel about this guy,” the rapper wrote.
He followed up the next day, emphasizing that Trump doesn’t handle disrespect well and won’t forget who opposed him. 50 Cent added that pardoning Diddy would only distract from Trump’s “Make America Great Again” mission, insisting, “There’s no room for distraction. Trump may pardon someone mistreated—but not Puffy.”
