President Donald Trump reposted a baseless conspiracy theory about his political rival, Joe Biden, on his official Truth Social account late Saturday. The 78-year-old shared a message from a small pro-Trump account claiming, “There is no #JoeBiden—executed in 2020.”
The post alleges that the real Biden was replaced by “clones, doubles, and robotic engineered soulless mindless entities,” adding that Democrats “don’t know the difference.”
There is no credible evidence backing these claims.
Biden has made numerous live appearances, participated in unscripted press events, and interacted directly with world leaders—none of which could be convincingly faked with current technology.
Such a large-scale cover-up would also require thousands of people across political lines, including Republicans, journalists, and foreign officials, making the scenario highly unlikely.
Trump’s repost came shortly after news of Biden’s prostate cancer diagnosis, described as aggressive but treatable by his office.
Following the announcement, some questioned why the cancer wasn’t detected earlier and speculated that the condition was concealed during Biden’s presidency, possibly contributing to his perceived cognitive decline and weak debate performance against Trump in June.
The Truth Social post linked to an article from the satirical conservative site Babylon Bee titled, “Biden Family Worried They May Be Running Out Of Time To Exploit Joe Biden’s Health,” which is unrelated to the conspiracy theory. The post also included numerous MAGA-related hashtags and links to other Truth Social accounts like TheChristianPatriots.
Days after the diagnosis news, Trump shared another post calling Biden a “decrepit corpse” and accused Democrats of election fraud, pardoning allies, and using an “autopen” to sign official documents—a reference to claims that Biden did not physically sign certain papers.
Far-right activist Laura Loomer tweeted about Trump’s repost, highlighting the claim that “there is no Joe Biden” accompanied by a laughing emoji.
During a recent press conference with Tesla CEO Elon Musk, Trump described Biden as “not a smart person, but a somewhat vicious person,” adding that he didn’t feel sorry for him due to the harm Biden allegedly caused his political opponents.
The American Cancer Society issued a supportive statement for Biden and Dr. Jill Biden, noting Biden’s long-standing commitment to fighting cancer. Biden himself told reporters he is “feeling good,” that treatment is “underway,” and that “all the folks are very optimistic.”
