Diddy is once again requesting a mistrial, claiming prosecutors presented false testimony they knew—or should have known—was inaccurate.
In a new filing Saturday, his legal team pointed to testimony from Cassie about an alleged 17-story balcony incident involving her friend, Bryana Bongolan. Cassie said she witnessed Diddy holding Bryana over the edge, but Diddy’s lawyers argue that text messages show Cassie only heard about it afterward, not firsthand. The team also disputes the timeline of the alleged injuries, citing photo metadata from Sept. 26, 2016—when Diddy was reportedly on the East Coast. Prosecutors later suggested the incident may have happened later that week.
This marks Diddy’s second mistrial motion; the first, related to destroyed fingerprint evidence in a separate incident involving Kid Cudi’s car, was denied.
A ruling on the latest request is still pending.
