President Bola Tinubu on Thursday urged Nigerians to remain patient with his administration’s ongoing reforms, assuring them that “the toughest days are behind us.” In his Eid-el-Kabir message for 2025, Tinubu highlighted that despite challenges, the economic reforms are beginning to show positive results.
He extended heartfelt congratulations to Nigerian Muslims and the global Muslim community, emphasizing the spiritual significance of Eid-el-Kabir as a time for sacrifice, devotion, and selflessness, drawing inspiration from Prophet Ibrahim and Prophet Muhammad.
Tinubu called on Nigerians to embrace resilience, tolerance, compassion, and dedication to national progress. He expressed gratitude for the patience and perseverance of Nigerians during difficult times, noting that the government’s efforts, supported by public and private sector leaders, are bearing fruit. He encouraged citizens to maintain hope, stressing that reforms are gaining momentum and will soon benefit everyone.
The president reaffirmed his commitment to transforming Nigeria’s economy sustainably, acknowledging that lasting progress requires time and steadfast effort. He mentioned the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda aimed at delivering prosperity for all Nigerians.
Recognizing recent tragic events such as the flooding in Mokwa, Niger State, Tinubu asked for prayers for the victims and urged collective support for those affected. He also called for prayers for security personnel, leaders, and peace amid global uncertainties.
Ending on a note of unity and compassion, Tinubu encouraged Nigerians to share kindness during the festive season, pray for divine guidance, and uphold the virtues of faith, sacrifice, and solidarity. He wished all a blessed Eid and invoked Allah’s blessings upon the nation.
