The IDA21 summit, hosted in Nairobi, Kenya, has brought together a gathering of African leaders, including Presidents Samia Suluhu Hassan of Tanzania, Julius Maada Bio of Sierra Leone, Andry Rajoelina of Madagascar, Lazarus Chakwera of Malawi, and Hassan Sheikh Mohamud of Somalia.
The summit, spanning two days, aims to confront developmental obstacles across the continent and formulate strategies for achieving comprehensive, prosperous, and sustainable economies.
The IDA, a division of the World Bank, focuses on aiding the world’s 75 most economically challenged nations, with 39 of these nations located in Africa.
Additional attendees expected at the summit include President Mohamed Ould Ghazouani of Mauritania, Comoros’ Azali Assoumani, and Évariste Ndayishimiye of Burundi.
