The event commenced with an opening address by Mr. Jeffrey Derebidoh, the President, who highlighted networking as a key benefit of joining Nidoa.
He emphasized that Nidoa serves as a cornerstone supporting other organizations, underscoring that the success of Nidoa influences the success of these organizations.
Following this, Mr Zee Nagberi, the Vice Chairman of Nidoa at the Continental level provided a brief update. He disclosed that Nidoa has been advocating for diaspora voting rights, addressing constitutional review issues affecting all diasporans, and currently advocating for regional concerns to ensure that ambassadors are informed about the issues of all Nigerians in the diaspora.
Key speakers at the event included Dr. Felicia Ikebude and Dr. Richard Oni, who addressed the theme “Breaking the silence and stigma surrounding mental health.” They emphasized the importance of caring for our physical, psychological, and mental well-being.
