American rapper and fashion designer Kanye West, now known as Ye, is being sued by his former assistant, Lauren Pisciotta, who accuses him of sexual harassment, breach of contract, and wrongful termination.
Pisciotta alleges that West sent her explicit messages and engaged in sexual acts while on the phone with her. She claims she was fired in 2022 without receiving a promised $3 million severance package.
According to the lawsuit outlining Pisciotta’s claims, she met West in 2021 while supporting herself through OnlyFans and was initially hired to work on his Yeezy women’s fashion line and his “Donda” album.
Later, she became his personal assistant with an annual salary of $1 million under the condition of being available 24/7.
Pisciotta claims West initially accepted her OnlyFans business but later demanded that she delete her account for an additional $1 million.
After complying, Pisciotta alleges West bombarded her with explicit texts and engaged in inappropriate behavior, including masturbating during phone calls and in front of her on his plane.
She was promoted to Chief of Staff in September 2022 but was then fired without her severance package.
Pisciotta is suing for sexual harassment, breach of contract, wrongful termination, fraud, unpaid wages, and intentional infliction of emotional distress.
Kanye West has faced similar accusations in the past, including allegations of showing explicit films during staff meetings and displaying an intimate photo of his then-wife Kim Kardashian during job interviews.
West has not responded to these allegations and has remained silent on the matter.
West has acknowledged a long-standing addiction to pornography, which he says began in childhood and has influenced many of his life choices.
He has also dealt with two other lawsuits this year: one for racial discrimination and harassment and another for using a Donna Summer song sample without permission, which was settled out of court.
Despite his successful career in the 2000s and 2010s, West’s recent years have been marked by controversy, including the termination of his contract with Adidas over antisemitic comments.
Nonetheless, he achieved chart success earlier this year with the single “Carnival” and the album “Vultures.”
