Amazon has officially announced that Prime Day 2024 will take place from July 16 to 17.
This 48-hour sale is exclusive to Prime members and features discounts on a wide range of products including tech, travel accessories, kitchen gadgets, home products, and pet supplies.
The event is highly anticipated by shoppers who look forward to taking advantage of significant savings.
In addition to Amazon, other major retailers like Walmart, Target, and Best Buy also hold their own sales around this time, offering competitive deals. For instance, Target’s Circle Week will be from July 7 to 13, and Walmart’s Deals event will be from July 8 to 11, both of which are open to all shoppers.
Prime Day is Amazon’s largest annual sale, reserved for Prime members. Typically lasting 48 hours, it features products at their lowest prices of the year.
The sale has expanded to include over 20 countries, such as the U.S., UK, Canada, Australia, Germany, France, and Japan, allowing a global audience to participate.
Prime Day usually occurs in mid-July, as it did in previous years.
In 2022 and 2023, Amazon also hosted a second Prime Day event in October, named the Prime Early Access Sale and Prime Big Deal Days, respectively. However, it is not yet confirmed if there will be a second event in October 2024.

Membership costs $139 annually or $15 monthly, with discounts available for students and those on certain government assistance programs.
New members can sign up on Amazon’s website or app and receive a 30-day free trial, after which the membership fee applies.
As Prime Day approaches, early deals become available to Prime members.
Currently, discounts can be found on items like Ring Doorbells, Keurig coffee makers, and Roku streaming devices.
The best way to stay updated on these deals is through the Amazon app, which provides real-time notifications about sales.
While specific discounts for Prime Day are revealed once the event starts, historically popular items have included Amazon Fire TV Sticks, Apple AirPods, and Bissell Portable Deep Cleaners.
Lightning Deals, offering limited-time discounts on select products, are also a highlight of the event.
