Legendary British singer Elton John, 77, has announced his retirement from touring.
In an interview, he firmly declared he would never tour again.
His final show was a grand event in Stockholm, Sweden, in July 2023.
Reflecting on the performance, he said, “The last show in Stockholm on the farewell tour after Glastonbury, I got in the car and went, ‘Yes! yes!’ We went out on the biggest high, just the way I wanted to, and there’s no going back after that.”
Elton John’s farewell tour, concluding in 2023, earned $939 million (£749 million) over 328 shows, making it the highest-grossing music tour until Taylor Swift surpassed it with $1 billion in revenue.
