President Joe Biden is set to be interviewed by ABC’s George Stephanopoulos on Friday, July 5, at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT, marking his first interview since facing significant criticism for his performance in last week’s debate.
Portions of the interview will be broadcast on ABC’s “World News Tonight” on Friday, with the full interview airing on the network’s “This Week” Sunday morning program.
There have been internal discussions within Biden’s campaign about addressing concerns raised by his debate performance, where he delivered some unclear and incomplete responses.
The 81-year-old president’s upcoming press conference during the NATO summit in Washington next week was also confirmed by White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre.
