Former President Trump’s plane was redirected to Billings, Montana, on Friday due to a mechanical problem, according to an official from the Billings airport.
Despite the diversion, Trump, the Republican presidential nominee, is still expected to hold a rally in Bozeman, Montana, later that evening.
In a video posted on social media from his plane, Trump mentioned landing in the beautiful state of Montana but did not address the plane’s mechanical issues or the diversion. He noted that he was there to attend fundraisers and support Tim Sheehy, a U.S. Senate candidate.
It’s uncertain whether Trump will continue to Bozeman by plane or drive there, according to reports. Bozeman airport CEO Brian Springer confirmed that Trump’s plane had landed in Billings, and the motorcade initially planned to meet him in Bozeman had already left.
