WWE legend Kevin Sullivan passed away on Friday at the age of 74. Sullivan was successful both as a wrestler and in his work outside the ring.
His death was confirmed by WWE and his podcast “Taskmaster Talks,” though the cause has not been disclosed.
John Poz, his co-host, paid tribute by saying, “Rest in peace, Kevin Sullivan. Your legacy will never fade, and I’ll see you on the other side, my friend.”
As a villain in the wrestling world, Sullivan was a formidable opponent for some of the sport’s biggest names, including Dusty Rhodes, Hulk Hogan, and The Road Warriors. He led several notorious groups, such as the Army of Darkness, The Varsity Club, and the Dungeon of Doom.
Ric Flair expressed his sorrow, stating, “I am so saddened to hear about Kevin Sullivan’s passing. Rest in peace, Kevin! You were an all-time great athlete and friend!”
Beyond his role as a wrestler, Sullivan was also a creative influence behind the scenes at WCW. “Taskmaster Talks” described him as more than just a wrestler—he was a visionary and storyteller who captivated audiences with his deep understanding of wrestling, both as a performer and a creator.
