Eugene Levy and Dan Levy, both Emmy® Award winners, will host the 76th Emmy Awards on ABC, marking the first time a father-son pair has taken on this role.
The ceremony will be broadcast live from the Peacock Theater at L.A. LIVE in Los Angeles on Sunday, September 15, from 8-11 p.m. ET/5-8 p.m. PT, and will be available for streaming on Hulu the next day.
Eugene and Dan expressed their excitement, noting their past Emmy experience was in a quarantine tent, making the opportunity to host in a theater even more special. They look forward to celebrating the outstanding television of the past year.
Craig Erwich, president of Disney Television Group, praised the Levys’ comedic talents, while Television Academy Chair Cris Abrego highlighted their legendary humor. Jesse Collins Entertainment, which is producing the show, expects a memorable event with the Levys’ hosting.
The production team for the Emmys will include familiar faces, such as director Alex Rudzinski and music director Rickey Minor, along with new co-executive producer Eric Cook.
Disney has set a record with 183 Emmy nominations across its various platforms and studios, with its streaming services receiving 181 nominations.
The most-nominated series include ‘Shōgun’, ‘The Bear’, and ‘Only Murders in the Building’.
