Folakemi Falana, sister of rapper Falz and daughter of respected legal expert Femi Falana, announced that they will be taking legal action against Very Dark Man (VDM) for not addressing their demands within 24 hours.
On September 25, Falz and Femi Falana, through their attorneys, issued a 24-hour ultimatum to VDM, asking him to apologize and retract statements he made regarding an alleged audio conversation between Bobrisky and another individual.
VDM has maintained that he did not defame either Falz or his father.
Folakemi, an entertainment lawyer, informed VDM of the impending court case, stating:
“My parents and our firm, Falana & Falana, have been advocating for presidential pardons for Nigerians free of charge long before many of you were born or could even speak. The first slide is from 2016, and the second is from 2022.
It’s shocking how some Nigerians act as if they can’t read or think for themselves. It’s regrettable.
What’s even more astonishing is that a character like VDM can make baseless accusations against my dad and Falz, claiming bribery, corruption, and obstruction of justice, and people forget their integrity. His assertion that Falz is homosexual and had an affair with Bobrisky is outrageous. The fact that some believe this is mind-blowing.
For clarity, anyone can petition the president for a pardon for any convicted person in Nigeria.
To be absolutely clear, here are the facts:
1. My dad has never met or spoken to Bobrisky, either directly or indirectly.
2. Bobrisky contacted Falz as he did many other celebrities, asking for money to stay in the VIP section of prison. He never mentioned a presidential pardon. Falz had no reason to think otherwise.
3. Do you really think my dad or Falz needs Bobrisky’s money? For what?
Since you have not complied, @verydarkblackman, we will see you in court.”
