Renowned veteran actors Madam Saje and Kanayo O Kanayo are set to receive Lifetime Achievement awards at the 2024 Best of Nollywood (BON) Awards.
Seun Oloketuyi, the founder of the BON Awards, made the announcement on Friday, emphasizing the importance of honoring film legends while they are still alive, rather than waiting until after their passing. He stated, “Posthumous awards are commendable, but it’s more meaningful for recipients to receive recognition during their lifetime.”
Oloketuyi highlighted that both Madam Saje and Kanayo O Kanayo have been influential figures in the industry, inspiring current generations of actors while continuing to uphold their careers.
The awards will be presented at the Sugar Factory Film Studios in Ilorin, Kwara State, on November 24.
Previous recipients of the Lifetime Achievement award include Toyin Adegbola, Madam Kofo, and Adebayo Salami.
