The White House released a report from Vice President Kamala Harris’ doctor on Saturday, confirming she is in “excellent health.”
The report, shared by a senior campaign aide, highlights Harris’ strong physical and mental health as she campaigns for the presidency.
At 59, she contrasts with former President Trump, 79, who has not provided recent health updates.
Dr. Joshua R. Simmons, Harris’ physician, noted her resilience and ability to fulfill presidential duties.
Harris’ team released the medical report to emphasize concerns about Trump’s age and health. Trump, who would be the oldest president if elected to a second term, has stated he would share his health records but has yet to do so. President Biden, 81, withdrew from the 2024 race in July due to concerns over his age.
Harris’ medical report from April 2024 revealed no significant issues. She leads an active lifestyle, exercises daily, and follows a healthy diet. The report mentions she manages seasonal allergies and urticaria, a skin condition, with Allegra and immunotherapy. Additionally, she is nearsighted, wears corrective lenses, and has a family history of colon cancer. Harris is current on all preventive care, including colonoscopies and mammograms.
