The Nollywood industry has suffered another tragic loss with the death of renowned Yoruba actor, Ayobami Mudashir Olabiyi, also known as Bobo B.
The actor, who was well-known in the Yoruba film scene, passed away after battling an illness.
Olabiyi had been scheduled to appear on a movie set in Oyo last month but was unable to due to his worsening health.
He was hospitalized at the University College Hospital (UCH) in Ibadan, Oyo State, where he reportedly lost the ability to speak or move before his passing.
The sad news was confirmed by Yeye Bose Akinola, the governor of the Oyo State chapter of the Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN).
Olabiyi had served as the National Secretary of TAMPAN and was a former governor of the association in Oyo State.
In a statement, Akinola expressed her condolences, asking for strength for Olabiyi’s family and TAMPAN members to cope with the loss.
