At the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony on Saturday, Dua Lipa and Cher kicked off the event with a rendition of “Believe,” followed by performances from Kool & the Gang, Foreigner, Peter Frampton, and Dionne Warwick, who brought the house down at age 83.
This year’s inductees included Mary J. Blige, A Tribe Called Quest, Ozzy Osbourne, Dave Matthews Band, and posthumous honors for Jimmy Buffett and others.
Zendaya inducted Cher, emphasizing her enduring legacy with a seven-decade streak of chart-topping hits. Cher performed “If I Could Turn Back Time” and gave a heartfelt speech thanking her mother for teaching her resilience.
Mary J. Blige was inducted by Dr. Dre, celebrating her contribution to hip-hop soul, and she performed a medley of her hits.
Dionne Warwick, nominated for the third time, was honored by Jennifer Hudson and Teyana Taylor.
A Tribe Called Quest was inducted by Dave Chappelle, recognizing their unique blend of jazz and soul in hip-hop.
Sammy Hagar introduced Foreigner, with highlights including a surprise performance by original singer Lou Gramm.
Peter Frampton, inducted by Roger Daltrey, gave a memorable performance alongside Keith Urban.
The night also included tributes to Jimmy Buffett by Dave Matthews and James Taylor.
The ceremony will air as a TV special on January 1.
