A man was killed and two others were hurt after a shooting in Sydenham, South London. The shooter has not been found.
In another incident on the same day, a man with a knife attacked people at East Street Market in Walworth, killing one person and injuring two more.
Police do not believe the two events are connected. They received a call about the stabbing at 10:40 a.m. A man in his 60s died at the scene, and two others were taken to the hospital.
A suspect, also in his 60s, was arrested, and police say the attack was not related to terrorism but could be linked to mental health.
Witnesses reported that the attacker appeared to randomly target people, causing chaos.
In Sydenham, police were called to a shooting on Wells Park Road around 10:10 a.m. A man was found dead, and a woman was also injured.
Police are investigating both incidents closely.
