Nigeria’s President Bola Tinubu is set to depart the Presidential Villa for Berlin, Germany, today, Saturday, November 18, to participate in the G20 Compact with Africa (CwA) Conference on Monday, November 20.
Co-hosted by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, the conference aims to enhance private investment, technology, infrastructure, trade, and other crucial areas.
President Tinubu’s commitment to diplomatic reciprocity is evident in this visit, following the German Chancellor’s recent visit to Abuja and Lagos.
The Nigerian delegation, including key ministers, will engage in discussions with German business organizations, building on previous meetings to foster more German investments in Nigeria.
Highlighting the strategic partnership between Nigeria and Germany, President Tinubu emphasizes the need for increased German investments across sectors like transportation, mining, and energy.
The delegation will also explore opportunities presented by the Fourth G20 Investment Summit.
The G20 Compact with Africa (CwA), initiated in 2017, includes countries like Nigeria, Benin, Burkina Faso, Côte d’Ivoire, Egypt, Ethiopia, Ghana, Guinea, Morocco, Rwanda, Senegal, Togo, and Tunisia.
As President Tinubu represents Nigeria, the conference aims to strengthen economic ties and collaboration among these nations.
