Mexico’s President, Claudia Sheinbaum, has responded to former President Donald Trump’s claim that she agreed to stop migration through Mexico to the U.S.
Trump announced on social media that he had spoken with Sheinbaum, stating that she had committed to halting migration across Mexico’s southern border. He also mentioned that they discussed measures to curb the flow of drugs into the U.S. and reduce drug consumption.
However, Sheinbaum countered Trump’s statement, clarifying that while the two did have a conversation, it focused on enhancing security cooperation between the countries.
She emphasized that no specific agreement had been made regarding migration.
